I’m based out of the Jacksonville area in Florida, and I’ll travel about an hour to my clients’ homes. If you’re not sure whether or not you’re in my zone, just give me a call. I’ll be happy to let you know.
I work with all shapes, sizes and breeds. I do no discriminate against any breed from Pitbulls to Chihuahuas.
Never! Aggression is a behavioral problem with dogs and behavior CAN be modified. It may take us lots of time, patience, and hard work, but I commit to my clients until their goals are reached. If a trainer tells you that your dog needs to be euthanized, hang up the phone with them and give Sally Said So! Professional Dog Training a call. Change is possible.
No. Attack dogs are a big liability and can be unsafe around children, family, house guests, YOU NAME IT! We would like dogs to be happy, healthy members of the family. If you are looking to train your dog to attack, we may not be the training program for you.
No. I am affiliated with an organization called Canine Trade Group, but we are privately owned. Canine Trade Group is a national network of professional dog trainers who have all gone through the same rigorous training program and use the same time-tested methods. We are all committed to the same level of professionalism and ethics, so I regularly seek input and advice from my peers and mentors. This way we are all consistently learning from each other’s experiences, staying current and informed in the world of dog training.
Electronic shock collars are never our “go to” tool. Our training methods have been successfully training dogs for over 26 years without the use of shock collars. We believe in creating a bond of mutual trust and respect between dog and owner, which involves a high level of handling skills, and building these skills to where owners are confident in their handling. Using an e-collar is not the best way to build these skills or the resulting relationship. We have worked with several clients with dogs already on e-collars, because it was suggested by another trainer, and have successfully worked with them without the use of it. Proper training is about understanding dog behavior, communication and handling skills.
Absolutely! Puppy training is almost as important, if not MORE important than, behavioral training. This is where we set your dog up for success BEFORE any unwanted behaviors have developed. Click here to learn more about our puppy training programs.
Yes! In fact, a lot of dog aggression is caused by anxiety or fear and it is very correctable with the right training. Remember, the sooner you address a behavior problem, the better!
